Fortnum’s Pomerol, Château Pierhem, 75cl

Pomerol produces some of the most opulent and desirable wines in Bordeaux. Ours is made by Château Pierhem, a tiny 1.8 hectare property in the heart of the appellation. A focus on low yields and careful vineyard management, the property produces velvety-rich, merlot-dominant wines that emphasise texture, depth and approachability, capturing the plush, generous style for which Pomerol is renowned.

Tasting Note
Our Pomerol impresses for its gorgeous plush fruit and harmonious tannins, making it a superb partner for roast beef, venison and hearty stews. Rich cassis and plum are layered with dark cocoa and cedar, violets, and subtle savoury spice.
