Fortnum's Franciacorta Brut NV, Franca Contea, 75cl

This sparkling wine from the highly praised region of Franciacorta in Lombardy is made by Franca Contea, a small family-owned estate situated just south of Lake Iseo. The hand-harvested Chardonnay grapes undergo a second fermentation in bottle, in the traditional French style, and the lengthy ageing on lees imparts texture and minerality.
