Fortnum's Bardolino Chiaretto Rosé, Casaretti, 75cl

This charming rosé from Lake Garda in northern Italy is as thirst-quenching and pretty as any pink wine from Provence, and a cranberry freshness that is due to the organic Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara grapes (indigenous varieties better known for Valpolicella and Amarone) that make up the blend. Made by Stefano Casaretti, this is delicately aromatic with vibrant notes of raspberry and green apple, and would make a great match for charcuterie, particularly venison salami, or smoked salmon.
