Exclusive to Fortnum & Mason, the 60 Above and 60 Below Prestige Pack from Exton Park vineyard is the first-ever sea-aged and cellar-aged English sparkling wine duo. A must-have for the curious and adventurous wine lover, this extraordinary pair of Blanc de Blancs Vintage 2014 wines offers a unique opportunity to be part of this groundbreaking wine tasting experiment.
Both of these remarkable wines come from the celebrated 2014 vintage, renowned for its ideal conditions for English winemaking. However, it's their ageing process that sets them apart and promises an unrivalled tasting experience. The 60 Above wine was aged using the traditional method, resting 60 metres above sea level in Exton Park's wine cellar. Notably, it has earned a WineGB Gold medal and an impressive 94 points from Decanter, garnering widespread critical acclaim.
Yet, it's the intriguing 60 Below that sets a new standard in winemaking. This wine was aged 60 metres beneath the sea, off the Brittany coast, marking the first-ever English sparkling wine to explore the mysteries of the deep. The continuous movement of the water against the bottles, while they mature on lees, is believed to impart a unique character to the wine. Exton Park is the first English producer to attempt this complex ageing process, making this launch particularly interesting to wine connoisseurs.
Please note, this product contains the allergen sulphites.
