David Hinkins’ Seville Orange & Passionfruit Marmalade, Dalemain Winner 2026

This year, the much‑loved Dalemain Marmalade Awards toast their 21st anniversary - a truly golden milestone. The awards form part of the Dalemain Festival, held amid the grandeur and gardens of Dalemain Mansion in beautiful Cumbria. Fortnum & Mason are delighted to sponsor the Artisan and Homemade Marmalade Awards, championing the joy, skill and sheer pleasure of a perfectly made jar.

This year’s winner – selected from over 3,000 entries – is David Hinkins from Somerset. His Passionfruit Marmalade has been crowned the 21st Double Gold winner. His marmalade is bright and sharp thanks to the passionfruit, which sings alongside classic Seville orange, creating a jar that’s just as at home on toast as it is stirred into a cocktail (we can highly recommend it in a Passionfruit Martini).

With 50p from every jar donated to Hospice UK, it truly is a jar full of joy – just as it should be.
