Chianti Classico, Fontodi, 75cl

Fontodi is based in Panzano’s prized “conca d’oro” - the golden shell - and produces elegant, structured wines from organically farmed vineyards. This Chianti Classico shows ripe cherry and plum fruit, with hints of leather and spice from time in oak. Balanced and expressive, the tannins are smooth, and the finish is long and mineral. A classic match for Italian staples like pizza or pasta, but equally at home alongside grilled meats or slow-cooked lamb.
