Exclusive to Fortnum’s, our First Flush Darjeeling hails from the historic Badamtam Estate, where high altitude and cool Himalayan winds produce a superb aromatic spring tea with exceptional minerality and clarity.
The flavour is intense, with a light crisp mouthfeel, reminiscent of muscatel grapes. As a black tea, the colour is quite light in the cup, with earthy green glints.
To brew, heat freshly drawn water to 90 degrees and, using one rounded teaspoon of tea per person, brew for approximately 3-5 minutes. Badamtam is best enjoyed without milk.
