Neiss Wines

Neiss Wines
Established in 1959, Neiss has been transformed in recent years by its innovative owner, Axel Neiss. In his pursuit for complete wine perfection Axel has updated the processes of the vineyards and cellars and also brought his careful attention to detail to ensure every grape is just as exquisite in each glass.
Located in the village of Kindenheim, just south of Frankfurt in the Pflaz region, the vineyards of Neiss are located on rich chalk and clay soil with essential minerals.
During the region's warm days and cool nights conditions are optimal for growing the most extraordinary Riesling, Weissburgunder and Spatburgunder. The Spatburgunder - 'Spat' meaning late and 'Burgunder' for Burgundy - is German for Pinot Noir and will be shipped for the first time under the Fortnum's label in July.
We’re pleased to announce the uniquely fresh and finely balanced Spatburgunder wine will feature under our own brand this summer. Join us as we celebrate this great partnership in our Piccadilly store with an exciting wine-tasting event hosted by Axel Neiss on Tuesday 27th June.
You can also delight in our full collection of exquisite Neiss wines online or in our Piccadilly store.
