45 Jermyn St.'s 'Float No.10'
The Ingredients
15ml Champagne
15g Caster Sugar
25ml Cocchi Vermouth di Torino
15ml Campari
35ml Soda Water
2 scoops Orange Sorbet (preferably Blood Orange)
A slice of orange to garnish.
The Recipe
Put the Champagne in a small pan and simmer until reduced by a third, then add the caster sugar and stir until fully dissolved. Leave the mixture to cool.
Next, pour the Vermouth, Campari, the Champagne Syrup from your pan and soda water into a small shaker. Shake for 10-15 seconds.
Now scoop the sorbet into a chilled float glass, pour the liquid ingredients on top, and finish with a slice of orange.
Fortnum's Classic Champagne Cocktail
The Ingredients
1 White Sugar Cube
Angostura Bitters
25ml Cognac
125ml Champagne
A strip of Orange Zest
The Recipe
Soak the sugar cube in Angostura Bitters, then place it into a chilled Champagne glass.
Next, pour in the Cognac, top up with the Champagne, and garnish with the strip of orange zest. Simple, but extraordinary.
