Rockford, Basket Press Shiraz

Established in 1971, Rockford's vintage shed is equipped with plant that is from 50 to 100 years old and was discarded by other wineries as modernisation took over. This allows Rockford to carry on old winemaking traditions and craft wines that capture and reflect the vineyard's characteristics in a timeless fashion. A big, rich Shiraz, almost opaque in colour, with aromas of ripe bramble fruit, grilled meats, cedar and baked cherries, the Basket Press Shiraz will make a magnificent partner to roast lamb or beef, a rare steak or firm farmhouse cheeses. Drink by the end of 2032.
