Kim Xu x Fortnum's

We're thrilled to announce a new collaboration taking place here at Fortnum's...
We are collaborating with the acclaimed painter and artist, Kim Xu, for an exhibition that is taking place from 24th March to 30th September. The Timeless Lover exhibition is a stunning show of work by Kim, which combines traditional Chinese watercolour and Western oil painting techniques, and brings his unique understanding of colour and character design to the fore.
"I am deeply honoured to receive the favour and trust of Fortnum & Mason for this exciting partnership," says Kim Xu. "I am pleased to share my reflection of the gentle elegance of the East meeting the delicate craftsmanship of the West. I look forward to integrating my creations into this space, rich in history and modern ambiance. Together with the brand, I look forward to embarking on a cultural and artistic feast."
Join us in-store and at 181 to view the work, both on the walls of our restaurant — and on the back of our new menus!

'Timeless Lover' Exhibition
"Memories and old companions drift like falling leaves, swirling in the autumn breeze of my life—emerging from the darkness into the light, only to fade once more into the shadows. In the light, I can catch glimpses of them; in the darkness, I can only rely on the memory of that light to imagine their forms—piecing together their silhouettes from fragments that once shimmered in brightness. I cannot grasp their true essence in the dark; I can only chase their fleeting illusions. And as my thoughts wander, they drift once more to another shore of light."
