Hope & Sesame x Fortnum's

We are delighted to announce the next collaboration in our Unexpected Ingredients series which celebrates the remarkable ingredients that inspire culinary creativity and delight. This series shines a light on unique, high-quality ingredients through exciting collaborations that give special attention to the story and flavour behind the ingredients. 

 

This time, we welcome Hope & Sesame to our K11 Musea lodgings – a contemporary speakeasy style bar ranked number 14 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2024 list, with venues in Guangzhou and Shenzhen China. Hope & Sesame founders Andrew and Bastien bring innovative mixology and culinary techniques such as sous vide infusions, slow cooking and rotary distillation to a bar scene previously rooted in the traditional.

This delicious collaboration runs from 30^th May until 22^nd June 2025, and during that time they will captivate discering drinkers with four cocktails - from a 181 50/50 Sour to a Holzer-Tini - showcasing bold and daring flavour profiles inspired by Fortnum's ingredients. And for your sipping pleasure, Hope & Sesame bartenders will be in residence at our 181 Bar over two weekends, 30^th May - 1^st June and again from 20^th – 22^nd June. Our very own chefs have also developed a Cantonese-inspired bar menu to pair alongside the cocktails which includes dishes such as Char Siu Fan Arancini and Mapo Shiitake Gnocchi. 

 

For all the cocktail enthusiasts out there, you can experience the taste of Hope & Sesame at home with our limited edition cocktail recipe boxes. The Rose Fizz Gift Box and Apiary Martini Gift Box are both available in store and contain curated ingredients and recipe cards - a celebration of culinary creativity to enjoy at home.
