Rich with notes of juicy apricot, candied fruit and nutty oak - and with a vibrant acidity on the long, structured finish - boutique producer Niepoort and Fortnum’s have selected this port from the exceptional 1997 vintage.
Colheitas – literally meaning ‘harvest’ or ‘crop’ - are tawny ports from a specific vintage that are aged for a minimum of seven years; however this port been in fact been aged for twenty years in a cask, allowing it to recognise its full potential.
Bottled on 20th September 2017, it makes the perfect partner to fruited desserts, a well-curated cheeseboard or simply to create a sense of occasion when served slightly chilled.
