Aftenoon Tea at The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, Fortnum & Mason Aftenoon Tea at The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon, Fortnum & Mason

The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon

Our Tea Salon has been a great many things for over 314 years. It began as an apartment for the Fortnum family, then became an interior decorating department in the 1920s and 1930s, and later an antiques department and a restaurant known as St. James’s. Since 2012 it has paid homage to the timeless tradition of Afternoon Tea.

Epitomising the sophistication of Afternoon and High Tea in all its splendour, our Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon was named in honour of Her Majesty’s visit in 2012, when she formally opened the room, in the company of their Royal Highnesses the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge. And today and every day, it is the perfect place for your Afternoon Tea party.

Following the latest announcement, we are happy to say that we are taking bookings at the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon from 17th May.

It’s not long until we can welcome you back until into our Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon. We’ve had a lot of time on our hands – 147 days to be exact. So we decided to use that time to practice our craft. All 35 of our chefs, 70 deft hands; baking trays by the dozen; countless cups of tea; 43 tastings (and re-tastings) and 1 extraordinary, new Afternoon Tea menu.

Following the latest announcement, we are happy to say that we are taking bookings at the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon from 17th May.

While our Tea Salon may have been closed to customers, our clever chefs have been hard at work creating what we have a sneaking suspicion may be our greatest ever Afternoon Tea menu. We're so excited to welcome you back so you can try for yourself.

If you have a restaurant booking with us before 17th May, it has automatically been cancelled.

Our book is open to take reservations from 2nd December! For the first time in The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon's history, we are offering a beautifully crafted Festive Afternoon Tea menu to make your seasonal celebrations with us extra-special.
