These Fine English Water Crackers, from the Fine Cheese Co, are produced using 100% English flour and English water, and are baked under flames for 1 minute in order to achieve an ultra crisp, dark and 'nutty' flavour for a delicious snack at ay time of day.
Did you know? In 1801 Josiah Bent from Massachusetts began baking and selling 'water crackers' made from flour and water that wouldn't deteriorate during long sea voyages. During baking, a cracking sound could be heard, and it is from this that the American term 'cracker' originated.
