Historically a producer of sweet mass-produced whites, it is now producing some stunning dry Rieslings and Gruner Veltiners from the Wachau and Kamptal. Of course one must never overlook Austria's outstanding sweet offerings from the Burgenland in the form of Eiswein and Ruster Ausbruch.
