Italy

Italy's many small family-run wineries produce some of the best wines in the world. The country has many white indigenous grape varieties, such as Verdicchio, Pinot Grigio and Cortese, which all contribute to its exciting breadth of characterful wines. The whites of Piedmont in the form of Gavi to the rich and aromatic whites of Alto Adige and Colli Orientali del Fruili stand out.
