Fortnum's Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

Fortnum's Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc

£18.95

“The Isabel Vineyard style is one of classy restraint, and its mineral core is perhaps more akin to a Pouilly Fumé than is typical of Sauvignon Blancs from Marlborough. Supremely refreshing with a textured palate of melon, mango, guava and stone fruits with mouth-watering acidity and an alluring, long finish.”

Perfect pairing: “Grilled or BBQ seafood - particulalry squid or swordfish. Also a great match with Thai green curry.”

Fortnum's Verdicchio di Matelica Riserva

Fortnum's Verdicchio di Matelica Riserva

£22.50

“Think Chablis Premier Cru! Our Verdicchio hails from the Matelica valley, on the mineral-rich site of an ancient salt-lake, where the Cifola family have grown Verdicchio for 50 years. The valley's cold nights and hot days help deliver a wine with a rare balance of acidity and richness, without any use of oak. Honey, orchard fruits and almonds envelop the senses, building to an intense, racy finish.”

Perfect pairing: “The wine’s honeyed texture and racy acidity lend it to the otherwise hard-to-pair Carbonara!”

Fortnum's Bourgogne Blanc

Fortnum's Bourgogne Blanc

£12.50

“Good value White Burgundy is not an oxymoron! This outstanding unoaked Chardonnay is clean, crisp and bright with apple and citrus fruit, and clean acidity across the finish. We are proud to work with Roger Luqcuet's Crafted at a small family-run estate in Fuissé, in the Maçonnais region just north of Lyon. The grapes are hand-harvested to ensure they reach the winery in prime condition.”

Perfect pairing: “Unoaked Chardonnay like this works particularly well with crab, prawns, grilled chicken, grilled fish - and our famous Scotch Eggs!”

Fortnum's Pouilly Fume

Fortnum's Pouilly Fume

£17.50

“A fine example of why wines from the Loire are so sought after – positively bursting with fruit whilst remaining supremely elegant. The domaine that produces our Pouilly-Fumé has belonged to the Chatelain family since 1630. It is located just north of the small market town of Pouilly-sur-Loire with the classic terroir of limestone and kimmeridgian clay lending the wine its typical 'gun-flint' character. Now in the eleventh generation, Jean-Claude Chatelain is a master at producing unoaked wine that has both purity of fruit alongside delicately smoky 'fumé' character.”

Perfect pairing: “While chalky, mineral cheeses like Goat and Feta are the classical choice, I personally love it with BBQ/grilled asparagus and courgette.”

Fortnum's Saint Emilion Grand Cru

Fortnum's Saint Emilion Grand Cru

£28.50

“The historic town of Saint Emilion is located on the right bank of Bordeaux and is renowned for producing wines of richness and breadth, and real versatility when pairing with food. Our Saint-Emilion Grand Cru comes from Château Faurie de Souchard and is a classic, traditional expression with juicy cassis and plum fruits, spices, elegant oak character and soft silky tannins. A blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc, the wine is aged in a combination of new and old French Oak for 12-16 months.”

Perfect pairing: “A true 'all-rounder',its plush plummy fruits work so well withBarbecued red meats, and soft cheeses.”

Fortnum's Bourgogne Rouge

Fortnum's Bourgogne Rouge

£15.95

“An attractively fresh and summer red well suited to a spectrum of summer dining. Bright, crunchy berries with elegant tannins and fresh, delicate acidity. Made by one of Burgundy's great names - Joseph Drouhin - using 100% Pinot Noir grapes sourced from the Côte de Nuits, the wine is aged a combination of both oak and stainless steel to give complexity, fruitiness and freshness.”

Perfect pairing: “Fresh, young-drinking Burgundy like this is fabulous with duck, rabbit, roast poultry and mild cheeses.”

Fortnum's Beaujolais

Fortnum's Beaujolais

£10.50

“Inherently summery, loaded with bright, soft fresh red berried fruit - and light enough to be chilled if desired - our Beaujolais is fundamental to any summer cellar. Made with the indigenous Gamay grape, grown on the steep sloping, granitic vineyards of Dominique Piron’s estate in Morgon, in the heart of the region. Dominique has created this typically fragrant, juicy and supple red that is light enough to be enjoyed with or without food.”

Perfect pairing: “A versatile number, pairing well with the full gamut of game, poultry, fish and soft cheeses”

Bandol Rosé, Domaine de Terre Brune

Bandol Rosé, Domaine de Terre Brune

£29.95

“Whisper it quietly: Terre Brune's Bandol Rosé is one of the ultimate pink wines. Delivering so much in terms of texture, elegance, purity of fruit and refined balance; satisfying the most discerning of palates, but also a real treat for any fan of summery Rosé. Bright, fresh red fruit dominates the nose and is joined on the palate by watermelon freshness and a citrus twang. Subtle spice and soft textures make this the complete package.”

Perfect pairing: “Pair with grown-up 'meaty' seafood such as lobster, seared salmon, swordfish or tuna steaks”

Gusbourne English Pinot Noir Rose

Gusbourne English Pinot Noir Rose

£29.50

“A delicate, floral Rosé with indulgent texture and poise. Crafted from specially selected parcels of Pinot Noir from the Gusbourne Cherry Garden vineyard in Appledore, Kent. Enticingly light and pale in colour, the nose is loaded with wild strawberry and stone fruit and complemented by subtle hints of violets and wild-flowers. The palate is crisp, fresh and layered with red fruits.”

Perfect pairing: “Elegant and refined enough to be enjoyed on its own, it also works wonderfully with Goat's Cheese, light summer salads, and shellfish”

Nyetimber Cuvée Cherie Multi-Vintage

Nyetimber Cuvée Cherie Multi-Vintage

£37.50

“Light golden hues and a slight silver undertone illuminate this delicately effervescent wine. With pure lemon, mineral and honey tones with an added hint of tangerine, combine to fill the nose with these alluring aromas. The palate opens with lively lemon curd and finishes with crisp acidity supporting the wine's clean, pure structure.”

Perfect pairing: “This 'Half-Dry' style makes a great accompaniment to cake, scones, fresh fruit, Pavlova, Lemon Posset or Crème Brulée”

Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru Champagne NV

Blanc de Noirs Grand Cru Champagne NV

£65.00

“Made entirely from the dark-skinned Pinot Noir grape from the Grand Cru vineyards of Ambonnay, this cuvée is aged in small oak barrels which gives the wine a deliciously rich, nutty character on both the nose and on the palate. Further enriched by complex by notes of honey, spice and dark fruits.”

Perfect pairing: “This style of Champagne is a fine aperitif but also a fabulous partner to game or pâté.”

Bollinger Special Cuvée N.V

Bollinger Special Cuvée N.V

£50.00

“One of the great names of the region, Bollinger remains independent and fiercely dedicated to quality. The house style is one of depth and texture, driven by the dominance of Pinot Noir - bringing complex dark fruit character - with oak ageing lending the wine richness and texture. Special Cuvée, the house's flagship wine, is comprised of younger base wines alongside reserve wines aged for more than 15 years in Bollinger's cellars. One of the outstanding non-vintage Grande Marque Champagnes.”

Perfect pairing: “Working well across a variety of seafood - a particularly delicious pairing with fish & chips.”
