Lubin

Pierre-François Lubin, an apprentice of Fargeon, perfumer to Queen Marie-Antoinette, became popular in 1798 with the first dandies after the French Revolution. Empress Josephine, wife of Napoleon I, had him supply her scents as from 1806. Then Lubin , holder of the Beauty Secrets of the old French Court, became the favorite perfumer of 19th century royals.
