Veuve Fourny, Blanc de Blancs Millésimé 2008
This small-grower Champagne producer of just 8.5 hectares is loved by sommeliers across France and increasingly so in London.
A word-of-mouth wonder, the Champagnes are created with no chemicals or fertilisers used in the vineyards, and all Veuve Fourny champagnes are sourced exclusively from the village of Vertus. This being the Côte des Blancs, Chardonnay is the grape variety chiefly espoused.
The 2008 vintage is considered to be amongst the greatest in the last 50 years in Champagne and Veuve Fourny's offering does not disappoint. In fact it is one of the best Champagnes we have tasted in the last five years.
Sourced from the same terroir as Larmandier-Bernier’s acclaimed Terre de Vertus and when tasted blind could be confused for a great white Burgundy. Superlative. Please note that it is an offence to purchase or attempt to purchase alcoholic liquor if you are under the age of 18."For a full list of ingredients and allergens, please contact us here.
