Preparation and use
- Reheat Instructions
- Cooking Precautions: All appliances vary, these are guidelines only
- To be enjoyed at its best and most flavoursome we recommend that this traditional Christmas pudding is steamed and not microwaved. To Steam, remove the film wrap, wrap the basin in foil and place the covered basin in a steamer or saucepan of water to two thirds of the depth of the basin and boil gently for 50 minutes, then leave to stand for 1 minute before turning out. With the point of a knife gently lift one side of the bowl and then the other side to release the pudding from the basin. Leave for 30 seconds and then lift off the basin. Carefully remove the silicon disc from the top of the pudding before serving. If you wish to microwave, please note that microwave ovens vary and the following is a guide only. Remove film wrap and loosen plastic lid. Place upright in microwave. 800W (Category E) Microwave: Step 1 - Cook on high (100%) for 1 minute and 20 seconds. Step 2 - Leave to stand for 2 minutes before turning out. Check that pudding is hot before serving. Two or more basins will require longer cooking time. Important: Remove basin carefully after cooking as pudding and basin will be very hot.
