- Cooking Precautions: All appliances vary, these are guidelines only
- To be enjoyed at its best and most flavoursome we recommend that this traditional Christmas pudding is steamed and not microwaved. To steam, remove the film wrap. Place the covered basin in a steamer or saucepan of water two thirds of the depth of the basin and boil gently for 20 minutes. Allow to stand for 1 minute before up-turning on to a serving plate. With the point of a knife gently lift one side of the bowl and then the other side to release the pudding from the basin. Leave for 30 seconds and then lift off the basin. Carefully remove the silicon disc from the top of the pudding before serving. If you wish to microwave, please note that microwave ovens vary and the following is a guide only. Remove both film wrap and cloth cap. Place upright in microwave. 800W (Category E) Microwave: Step 1 - Cook on high (100%) for 40 seconds. Step 2 - Rest for 1 minute. Check that pudding is hot before serving. Two or more basins will require longer cooking time. With the point of a knife gently lift one side of the bowl and then the other side to release the pudding from the basin. Leave for 30 seconds and then lift off the basin. Carefully remove the silicon disc from the top of the pudding before serving. Important: Remove basin carefully after cooking as pudding and basin will be very hot.
