Chablis 1er Cru Montmains Vaudon Drouhin 2018, 75cl
When the Chablis vineyards were all but abandoned in the 1960’s, Robert Drouhin recognized the potential of this region. The region had been ravaged by the phylloxera disease a century before and he was one of the first Burgundian producers to set about revitalising this special region.
This example is fresh and typical of Chablis. The complex and mineral nose reveals flavours of citrus and white flowers with a nice balance between texture and mineral sensations. It has a wide palette of aromas and tastes, from citrus to vegetable notes such as asparagus and artichoke, with hints of salinity.
