In the heart of the Salnes Valley in the Rias Baixas, the Creixell family – owners of the famous Rioja estate Marqués de Murrieta – created Pazo de Barrantes. The family home – an imposing sixteenth century manor house – is the centre of this 12-hectare winery. Founded in 1991 and equipped with the latest technology, today the winery has a production of 200,000 bottles of excellent Albariño per year. The winery shares the same values as the Rioja estate, offering the finest wines possible whilst maintaining the respect for tradition and nature. The owner of both historical bodegas, Vicente Dalmau Cebrián – the Count of Creixell – says “Pazo de Barrantes continues to consolidate itself as the leading, quality winery of the Rias Baixas (one of Spain’s best white wine producing areas). The full-bodied Albariño is winning more and more admirers.”
