With dark, polished leaves, typical of the Gyokuro style, this Premium Shincha has a deep flavour and accompanying sweetness. To give the tea its distinctive flavour and colour, the tea leaves are shaded from the sun leading to a concentration of amino acids and chlorophyll.
Why not cold brew? A wonderful alternative for summer, this will extract the flavour without any bitterness. Simply add the tea to an infuser bottle, pour in cold water and leave for an hour or cool overnight in the fridge. The result is utterly refreshing!
