Throughout our 313 year history, our obsession with delicious food has been expressed in many forms and flavours. Always delicious, sometimes peculiar, and every now and then, we even manage to surprise ourselves.


Below are some of our greatest accomplishments to have charged Champagne glasses, been poured into teacups, and graced dining tables around the world – regularly selling out and keeping our merchandisers on their toes!

Sir Nigel's Marmalade

Deep in flavour, orange in colour and sublimely citrusy in taste. Made for noted 1920s actor-manager, Sir Nigel Playfair, to bring back the sweet tones of childhood he missed in the flapper years.

Glenarm Salt Aged 5 Bone Rib of Beef

Exclusively available at Fortnum's, this superb, award-winning beef is hand-selected from the Glenarm Estate in Northern Ireland and then dry-aged for 28-42 days in the producer's authentic Himalayan salt chamber, the first in Europe.

Merry Go Round Musical Biscuit Tin

This magical tin will bring back happy memories of childhood carousel rides as it plays the lilting melody of ‘La Traviata’ while it gently revolves. Inside is a feast of fabulous biscuits in seven different flavours.

Fortnum's Blanc de Blancs Champagne

Laurent Hostomme produces our Blanc de Blancs Champagne from his own vineyards, all located within the Grand Cru region of Chouilly.


The blend is always 100% Chardonnay and aged for three years ‘sur latte’ for extra complexity. It is extremely elegant, offering light floral notes and a refreshing acidity.

Rose & Violet Creams, 475g

Fortnum’s Rose & Violet English Creams are our signature chocolates.


Made entirely by hand, they have been lovingly mixed, poured and coated in the same way, to the same recipe, for decades.

Rose Pouchong

Best-enjoyed black, our Rose Pouchong is made by interleaving rose petals with black tea as it dries.


A few are left in for decoration, too. Subtle and drinkable, it pairs superbly with milk chocolate, gamey meats and fresh fish.

Ling Heather Honey Gin

A deliciously different hand crafted gin, distilled with organic botanicals and infused with our rare Ling Heather Honey from Perthshire for a unique, herbal twist.


Makes for a perfect G&T, an elevated Martini, or simply served over ice with a twist of lemon peel.!

Scotch Egg

Arguably our famous invention from back in 1738 – and we've since hatched a whole brood of others, including jalapeno, bacon and even haggis Scotch eggs.


Ours are particularly moist and tender, beginning with a free range egg with a vibrant orange yolk layered with British outdoor-reared pork and crisp homemade breadcrumbs.

The Burlington Hamper
