The delightful town of Rust, on the western shore of Lake Neusiedl in Eastern Austria, produces one of the greatest sweet wines in the word.
Indeed, Rust was made a 'Royal Free Town' in 1681 for the help it gave to Emperor Leopold I - by providing 500 buckets of wine.
To this day, Rust renowned for its magnificent sweet wine. Feiler-Artinger makes a delicious and balanced rich wine from grapes affected by 'noble rot'.
The process of slow fermentation followed by oak ageing produces a dazzling array of flavours - fresh and lively but concentrated and unctuously sweet.
