To celebrate the launch of his book Wasted Calories and Ruined Nights: A Journey Deeper into Dining Hell, Fortnum’s invites you to join award-winning writer, journalist, broadcaster – oh, and Fortnum & Mason’s Restaurant Writer of the Year for 2018 – Jay Rayner in conversation with Tim Hayward from the Financial Times.

Revel in Jay’s misfortune as he regales guests with some of his most unfortunately memorable dining experiences in recent years, 20 of which are detailed in his book. These include, in his own words, “dreadful meat cookery from animals that died in vain, gravies full of casual violence and service that redefines the word ‘incompetent’.”

Guests are advised to take their seats ten minutes early, as the talk will begin promptly at 7.30pm.
