Blaufrankisch is the most exciting red grape variety in Austria. It produces firm, dry, spicy wines from the warm region of Burgenland, close by the Hungarian border. This is a single vineyard wine, aged in large oak casks for 12 months, and it represents fantastic value for money. It is fruity, and medium bodied and is a great match for lamb or beef.
