Moët et Chandon was established in 1743 by Claude Moët, and today owns more than 1,000 hectares of vineyards with nearly 30 kilometres of cellars to mature its stocks. The brand really came to prominence in the 18th century as a result of Jean-Claude Moet’s friendship with Napoleon, and the house has been the market leader ever since. The Brut Imperial is the world’s best selling Champagne and is consistently good with green apple and citrus fruits.
