Argentinian wine-growers have created their own very distinct style. The hot dry climate is particularly suited to red, and the region is known for its Malbec grape, especially nurtured in the Mendoza Province. Many Argentinian vineyards are at high altitudes, lending a certain freshness to their wines. Argentinian reds are fruity, rich and full-bodied, and our choices are real champions of the region. Chile meanwhile offers a wide range of excellent reds, not least those from its cherished, dark carmanere grape, which makes for a spicy, berry-fruited wine.
