Christmas wines have to be versatile enough to suit every festive occasion. Our Touraine Sauvignon is light fresh and citrusy; our Viognier offers delectable spice and rich apricot fruit, and the Gavi from northern Italy is a refined revelation of purity and delicacy. Our final white comes from Australia; a rich and clean Semillon from Torbreck which has that extra depth to go beautifully with turkey, ham and soft cheese.
Our reds offer contrasting styles. The Rioja is a perennial favourite, simply because it is rich juicy and delicious, whilst the Syrah and Shiraz from the Vaucluse (Rhône region) and Barossa Valley respectively, offer a delightful contrast between the New and Old world approaches to the grape variety.
Finally our own label Douro from Niepoort, is definitely worth exploring. Perfect on Boxing Day with cold meats, this savoury spicy gem is from the most exciting wine maker in Portugal.
