Nestling within the Fresh Food Hall is our award winning 1707 Wine Bar designed by David Collins.

Named 1707 in honour of our foundation year, the wine bar allows you to order a bottle of almost any wine from the adjacent Wine Department for only a £10 corkage fee, as well as offering an extensive selection of wines by the glass.

The menu, by our development chef Shaun Hill, focuses on foods from the Food Hall to encourage experimentation and adventure. Come down and see us some time. In the meantime, find out more about 1707 by watching the video below:

Fortnum’s Lower Ground Floor is host to an award-winning Wine Bar, a wonderful Wine Department, and counters and counters of delicious delicatessen and charcuterie specialities. These are the inspiration behind Fortnum’s bespoke picnics, and behind a new venture – the Counter Culture in the Atrium.

Take a seat in the area outside the Wine Bar and browse the menu, which includes the very best of our food counters, and wines specially chosen to accompany them. Whether you have a hankering for ham, a penchant for pork pie, or a craving for hand-carved smoked salmon, there is something to suit, with a wine specially selected for the dish. All will be served with Fortnum’s finesse, so that you can enjoy a feast all year round without the usual picnic drawbacks of bad weather and bothersome wildlife.
