As well as two loose-leaf teas – Assam Superb and Ceylon Orange Pekoe – you will find a tin of Earl Grey Shortbread Rounds and a rich and crumbly Totally Traditional Dundee Cake. To finish, there is also a tea strainer and a copy of Tea at Fortnum & Mason, the definitive guide to afternoon tea.

  • Assam Superb Tea, 125g Loose Leaf Tin

    • Assam tea, indigenous to India's steamy Brahmaputra Valley, is one of the world's oldest varieties. The aptly named Assam Superb has the rich, dark liquor and smooth, round, malty flavour prized by the connoisseur. Full of body and flavour, it is ideal at any time of the day.

      Use boiling water and brew for 3-5 minutes depending on taste. Best drunk with milk.

  • Ceylon Orange Pekoe, 125g Loose Leaf Tin

    • Orange Pekoe denotes a large-leaved tea, and the dark, even leaves of this tea are indicative of a really good Ceylon. Just a touch of delicate high-grown tea is added to the more robust low-grown leaves to create a medium-strength brew – ideal for a pick-me-up in the afternoon.
